Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zane Peltier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Machete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peltier kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rockstar-Chamillionaire. Machete has chosen Sandstorm - Darude as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andres Machete!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machete slips under a jab.

Peltier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Machete gets back to full guard.
Peltier postures up in Machete's guard and throws a big left but Machete blocks it.
Machete manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peltier manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peltier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machete is aware though and is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Peltier is controlling Machete's posture.

Peltier shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Machete's guard.

Peltier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Machete dives on top into guard.

Peltier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Peltier is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Machete.

Peltier takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A slapping leg kick lands for Machete.
Peltier uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Machete.
Peltier shoots in looking for a takedown but Machete manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peltier's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Machete throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peltier sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Andres Machete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Machete stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Peltier buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Peltier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Machete circles away.
Machete lands with an uppercut that bounces Peltier off the cage and back into range.
Machete stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Machete wants it to stay on the feet.

Peltier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machete.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Machete's jab looks to have found its range, popping Peltier under the eye.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Peltier takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fighters circle momentarily. Machete darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
