Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Djoser Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomi Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koski has chosen Catatonic Overload - Heavyweight as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Djoser Rei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Koski!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski connects with an inside leg kick.
Djoser Rei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rei lands with a good body shot.
A low kick from Rei is predictable there
and Koski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Koski on the wrong end of a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koski walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rei.
Rei throws a low kick, looking for Koski's leg but Koski calmly moves out of range.
Koski moves forwards but Rei connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Koski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Koski lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rei at a distance.
Rei misses with a lunging right hand
and Koski counters with a good low kick that Rei was not able to check.
Koski throws a leg kick that is checked
and Rei counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rei misses with a hook.
Rei loads up on a big right hand but Koski slips the punch.
Good leg kick by Rei there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Koski misses with a looping left.
Rei has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cell Block Six in the buildup to the fight.

Koski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Koski throws a sloppy head kick and Rei moves out of range easily.
Koski throws a combination. Rei tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Rei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koski circles away quickly and effectively.
Koski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rei.
Koski lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rei misses the shot to the body.
Koski ducks under a wild hook from Rei.
Koski lands a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rei takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Koski tries to close the distance and clinch but Rei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rei uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koski.
Koski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rei can pounce on him.
Rei punishes Koski's body with a nice straight punch.
Rei throws a lazy right hand but Koski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koski lands a really nice looking cross but Rei seems unphased.
Rei punishes Koski's body with a nice straight punch.
Rei takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Koski, right into the meat.
Koski lands a jab.
Koski misses with a few strikes there.
Koski lands with a shot to the body.
Rei throws a hook but Koski avoids it easily.
Rei thuds a left hand into Koski's body.
Rei lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rei swings for the body but Koski moves out of range.
Koski moves out of range of the body kick from Rei.
Rei throws a nice head kick!
Some wild striking there from Rei.
Rei takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rei throws a body kick that misses.
A combination from Koski does no damage.
Koski misses with a two punch combination.
Koski throws a leg kick which misses Rei's front leg but catches the back leg as Rei tries to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Rei.
Koski throws a hook to the side of Rei's head but Rei sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rei ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koski moves away.
Koski throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A good leg kick by Koski.
Koski slips a jab and a cross from Rei.
Koski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rei throws a series of punches but Koski avoids them all with ease.
Koski jabs at Rei's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Koski throws a front kick that sends Rei stumbling back into the cage.
Rei is breathing heavily.
Koski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rei looks to land a combination but Koski avoids it well.
Rei tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Koski is able to avoid easily.
Rei moves out of range as Koski strikes.
Koski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rei.
Rei has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Koski finds it's way round the side to connect with Rei's head.
Koski lands a head kick!


It looks like Djoser Rei has been cut.
Rei on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Koski lands a jab to Rei's midsection.
Rei fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Koski is out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rei throws a jab when Koski was well out of range.
Rei falls off balance throwing a combination
and Koski makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rei loads up on a big right hand but Koski slips the punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomi Koski dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Djoser Rei's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Koski forces Rei back against the cage and clinches.

Koski lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rei or not.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rei is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Rei takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Koski lands a jab to Rei's midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Rei is rocked!
Rei gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tomi Koski!
After winning the bout, Tomi Koski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
