Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Fauteux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fauteux wants to stand but Reed is controlling the position.
Fauteux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reed throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fauteux's waist but Fauteux gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reed off to one side.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Reed tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Fauteux is pressed up against the cage. Reed has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fauteux down to the mat. Fauteux avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Reed changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fauteux fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
