Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edu Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edu Hernandez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez misses with a combination
and Hernandez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hernandez misses with a few strikes there.
Gonzalez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hernandez on the side of the head.

Gonzalez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hernandez circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hernandez goes for a double leg but Gonzalez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gonzalez continues to drive forward.

Hernandez seems to have recovered his senses.
Gonzalez looks to land a combination but Hernandez avoids it well.
Hernandez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Gonzalez lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Hernandez falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gonzalez dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
