PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hung Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Underwood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thompson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Underwood breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A combination from Thompson does no damage.
Underwood tries to close the distance and clinch but Thompson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Underwood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thompson avoids it really well and circles away.

It looks like Hung Underwood has been cut.
Underwood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Underwood off to one side.

Underwood decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Underwood manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thompson on his heels. He'll look to pass Thompson's guard now, I'm sure.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thompson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Underwood has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Underwood and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Underwood tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thompson swivels and escapes.
Thompson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Thompson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thompson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Thompson ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Underwood's jaw. Underwood's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Thompson does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
