PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Lance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Avila might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - Ain't No Sunshine. On his way into the cage it seems that Eric Avila has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eric Avila seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila lands a head shot.

It looks like Leon Lance has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Avila lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lance doesn't seem phased though.
Lance misses with an uppercut
and Avila counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The fighters circling - Avila throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lance has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Avila finds it's way round the side to connect with Lance's head.
Lance throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Avila sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lance throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Avila dodges the punch combination from Lance.
Avila uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lance has time to react.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Avila throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lance will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Avila scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Lance walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Avila clinches.
Lance is trying to break free.
A body shot lands from Avila.
Avila works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Avila throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lance looks winded!

Lance is trying to break the clinch but Avila has him pressed against the cage.

Avila throws a big uppercut that drops Lance! More strikes from Avila and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lance lies dazed against the cage as Avila celebrates with his cornermen!

A relieved looking Eric Avila thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
