The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laros is looking to clinch.
Vemola tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laros sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vemola somewhat.
Laros wants to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vemola.
The fight stays on the outside here - Laros looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Laros moves in looking to clinch but Vemola pushes him off.
Laros tries to clinch up but Vemola circles away and keeps his distance.

Vemola closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vemola works his foot free and advances to mount.

Laros is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Vemola locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Laros is forced to tap!
