The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsuyama does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Gamble throws the kick towards the body but Matsuyama avoids it.
Matsuyama steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gamble. That one must have hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matsuyama fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gamble.

Gamble drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gamble stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Matsuyama doesn't manage to clinch there - Gamble circles away.

Matsuyama throws out a leg kick but Gamble moves out of range and Matsuyama only half commits.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oh Gamble is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gamble seems to have got his legs back now.
Gamble clobbers Matsuyama with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That was a close round but I would say that Allen Gamble will probably get the nod.
