Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mendes Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Game - Scared Now Ft. Meek Mill. Frank Castle will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mendes Lima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima tries to move into range but Castle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Castle scores with a nice head shot.
Lima tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Castle scores with a push kick.

Lima scores with a takedown into Castle's guard.
Lima throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Castle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castle wants to get back to his feet but Lima is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lima slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lima decides to stand back up.
Castle is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Lima tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castle fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lima takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lima is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lima is looking to land body kicks.
Lima closes the distance and clinches up with Castle, looking for a takedown. Lima pushes Castle against the cage but Castle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lima fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Castle checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Lima on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lima checks a leg kick.
Castle feints and then cracks Lima's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lima down.
Lima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castle paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lima fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mendes Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lima shoots for a takedown but Castle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Castle lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lima is breathing heavily.
Lima throws a lazy head kick
and Castle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lima shoots in for a takedown but Castle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lima doesn't manage to clinch there - Castle circles away.
Castle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Lima takes one to the chin there.
Lima has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Castle.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Castle lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lima drops his hands momentarily and Castle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Castle has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Castle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Castle there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lima takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lima takes a shot right to the bread basket.
We've been informed that Castle has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Castle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Castle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Castle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Castle closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That kick from Castle tenderised Lima's leg. Lima is trying to keep his angry face on.

Castle scores with a jab to the head.
Castle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Lima takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Castle connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lima momentarily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Castle.
Lima on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Frank Castle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castle cracks Lima with an open hand slap.
Castle lands a jab-cross combination.


Lima is rocked!
Castle is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lima had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Castle cracks Lima with a good jab.
Oh Lima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Castle cracks Lima with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lima tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Castle pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lima is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Castle!
After winning the bout, Frank Castle thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
