PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Knocke Bensmock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bensmock.
Bensmock scores with a hook to the body. Angel takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bensmock lands a nice looking body shot.
Angel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bensmock.
Angel avoids the head kick by Bensmock.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bensmock. Angel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bensmock connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Crunch! Bensmock slams his shin into Angel's torso.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Angel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bensmock.
Bensmock bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bensmock lands with a good body shot.
Angel misses with an uppercut. Bensmock saw that one coming.
Bensmock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bensmock scores with the left hand. Angel knows he should have avoided that one.
Angel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bensmock scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Angel needs to keep his hands up - Bensmock had a free shot at his head there.

Angel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bensmock tries to roll over but Angel keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bensmock is pressing down on Angel's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bensmock looking for a sweep. Not yet Bensmock, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Angel wants to control from the top but Bensmock keeps moving.
Angel throws a big elbow that misses.

Bensmock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Angel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bensmock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bensmock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bensmock!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Angel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bensmock has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Angel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The strikes coming from Bensmock are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Bensmock lands some shots froms side control.
Angel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Angel controlling the position for now.
Bensmock tries to stand and escape but Angel is controlling the position.

Bensmock with the ground and pound but Angel uses the opportunity to regain guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Angel is looking for a triangle but Bensmock pushes his legs off easily.

Angel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bensmock wants to control from the top but Angel keeps moving.

Angel has his foot on Bensmock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bensmock works his way back into a safe position though.

Angel quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bensmock has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Angel celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
