Sonova shoots and misses
and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Sonova shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sonova jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Sonova has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sonova tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sonova has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sonova has hold of Silva's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silva tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sonova cranks the arm and Silva screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silva, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

After the fight, Bruno Sonova was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
