Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Schilk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Averson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Magnus Schilk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurt Averson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Averson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Schilk makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Averson really felt that one!
Schilk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Schilk throws a low kick but Averson avoids it.
Averson checks a low kick from Schilk.
Schilk tests Averson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Schilk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schilk gets caught napping as Averson dives in and scores a takedown. Schilk manages to retain guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kurt Averson wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Schilk counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Averson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Schilk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Averson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schilk pinned against the cage. Schilk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Schilk can't keep his opponent in guard - Averson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Averson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Schilk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Schilk rolls with it to try and escape but Averson cranks on the arm and Schilk is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
