Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dre Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leeroy Russo!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo lands with a cross.
A right-left combo lands from Parker.
Russo keeps the fight on the outside.
Parker wants to clinch up but Russo keeps it at a distance.
We've been told by Parker's head coaches at Thunder Dome that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Parker misses with a body kick.
Russo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Russo tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Russo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Russo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Parker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Parker avoids the elbow strike from Russo, against the cage.
Russo slowing the pace effectively.

Parker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Russo throws a hook but Parker avoids it easily.

Russo jumps guard and drags Parker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Russo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Parker is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Russo.

Russo parries the strikes from Parker easily there. Parker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Russo to escape.

Russo is stalling here. Parker is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Russo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Parker has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Parker drops Russo with a beautiful combination! Russo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Parker is looking for the KO!


It looks like Leeroy Russo has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Russo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Parker lands a big right hand that drops Russo! The killer instinct kicks in and Parker finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Parker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dre Parker!
Dre Parker bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
The defeated Leeroy Russo had this to say: 'Man, that dude's tough as nails! I can't believe he took some of those shots. He was the better man tonight. Tonight!'.
