Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Preston Kale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Preston Kale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Davison!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kale shoots in and gets a takedown into Davison's guard.

Davison working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kale has passed into half guard!

Davison is looking to regain half guard here but Kale keeps moving and retains side control.
Kale throws an elbow but Davison slips to the side and avoids it well.
Kale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Davison is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kale is just riding it out for now. Davison eventually gives up the hold.

Kale wants to sweep here but Davison controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davison accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davison throws a strike but Kale rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Davison had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kale defends it easily.

Kale passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davison tries to roll over but Kale keeps him under control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Davison dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kale shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Davison manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Davison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kale defends well.
Chris Davison has got the better of the ground game so far.

Davison looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kale is one step ahead there.

Davison escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davison has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Kale passes into half guard.
Kale tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Davison.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davison is looking to improve his position.
Davison wants to get back to full guard but Kale has mounted him!
Davison is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Davison is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kale avoids the attempt from Davison to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kale trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Davison wants to hold on but Kale pushes him away.
Davison is squirming around, avoiding Kale's attempts to control the action.
Davison is wriggling around trying to escape.
Davison is still trying to improve position.
Davison bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davison fails with a takedown attempt.

Kale closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kale lands in his opponent's guard.
Kale won't allow Davison to sweep him here.

Davison looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Preston Kale will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davison wants to improve his position but instead Kale has moved into half guard.
Davison is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kale's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kale's back!
Davison misses with a punch to the head.

Davison is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kale knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kale for a finish.
Davison lands with a hammerfist to the side of Kale's head.

Davison somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Davison throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Kale finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kale avoids a series of strikes thrown by Davison.

Davison looking to secure an arm triangle but Kale defends it well.
Davison throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Davison controlling the pace for now.

Davison goes for an armbar but Kale turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kale.

Davison is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kale is aware though and is defending well.
Davison is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kale being controlled here momentarily.

Davison has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kale is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Davison.
Davison tries to bench press Kale off him but Kale keeps the position.

Davison is trying to work for a sweep but Kale has mounted him!
Davison is wriggling around trying to escape.
Davison wants to hold on but Kale pushes him away.
Davison can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris Davison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Davison has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
