Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Paiva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Your Death. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paiva stalks Alves and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alves's face. Alves staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Igor Alves has been cut.
Paiva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Paiva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Alves counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Alves.
Alves tries to stand but Paiva is controlling from the bottom.
Alves not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Alves wants to stand but Paiva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
