Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cruz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the Jungle. Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Face in the Sand kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fred Jones will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cruz did well to prevent Jones getting side control.
Cruz trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Cruz is defending well.
Cruz is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Cruz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
