PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Banana Split (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ishe Sithole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sithole has chosen Im still fly as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Split drives through with a takedown into guard.
Split passes into half guard.
Split trying to mount his opponent but Sithole defends it.

Split is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sithole doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Split.

Split is working for a kimura but Sithole is defending it quite comfortably.
Split is keen to just control but Sithole is a slippery customer.
Split is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sithole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Split. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sithole is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Split seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sithole for as long as he can get away with.

Split is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sithole is just riding it out for now. Split eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
