The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zhenya gets a takedown into half guard.
Zhenya not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Zhenya is thwarting Seems's attempts to control the position.

Seems looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Seems looking for submissions off his back.
Zhenya lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Seems makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Seems.
Zhenya stays in close to Seems's body and controls the position.

Seems keeping moving, preventing Zhenya from controlling successfully.
Zhenya looking to sit in guard and control but Seems gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Seems trying to control but Zhenya is working from the bottom.
Zhenya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zhenya is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zhenya is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Seems looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Seems has hold of Zhenya's hands but Zhenya slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Seems on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Seems trying to control but Zhenya postures up.
Seems has a hand on Zhenya's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Zhenya takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Seems looks gassed!
Zhenya is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Seems defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Zhenya.
Zhenya is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Seems can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seems taking some punishment here, with Zhenya in his half guard.

Seems gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Zhenya wants to advance to full mount but Seems doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Seems lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zhenya!
Seems can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zhenya is looking to escape.
Zhenya wants to control but Seems is having none of it.
Zhenya on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zhenya tries to get out of the position.
Seems controlling from mount.

Zhenya tries to clinch but Seems is having none of it.
Seems seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Zhenya shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Seems is backing up but Zhenya catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Seems covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Zhenya Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
