Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hagen Merak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlton Leach is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hagen Merak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlton Leach!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leach swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Merak moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Leach swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Merak sizes up Leach with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A jab from Merak does it's job there.
Leach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Merak manages to avoid it.
Merak tests Leach's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Leach is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Merak lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Merak scores with the left hand. Leach knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Carlton Leach has been cut.
Leach is looking to clinch but Merak is avoiding it.

Merak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Merak looking to control.
Merak wants to stand but Leach is controlling the position.
Merak not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Merak is working an open guard so Leach takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Leach swinging wildly here.
Leach with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Merak stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Leach lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Leach swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Merak slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Leach jabs Merak right on the nose. Merak blinks but takes it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Merak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Leach eats them both and turns towards Merak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A big right from Leach misses.

Merak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Leach to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Merak has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Leach has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Leach stands up.
Leach walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Merak checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Merak tests Leach's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Merak connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Leach throws a right and a left that Merak avoids nicely.
Merak swings for the body but Leach moves out of range.
Leach misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Leach drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Leach decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Leach takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Leach rushes Merak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Leach's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Merak clobbers Leach with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Merak seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Leach tries to clinch but Merak moves out of range.
Merak lands with a right hand.
Leach takes one to the side of the head.

Leach looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Merak!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Merak tries to control but Leach manages to take his back.

Leach working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Merak is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Leach has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Merak taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Carlton Leach!
