Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gene Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Anderson tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Jones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Anderson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.

Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anderson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Anderson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jones is nestled in close to Anderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jones wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.

Anderson is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones tries to control but Anderson wriggling away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jones is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Anderson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Anderson shrugs it off.
Jones looking to control but Anderson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones cracks Anderson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Anderson tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
Jones wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.

Anderson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.

Jones has hold of Anderson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Anderson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jones with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jones lands a big elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Anderson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jones.
Jones lands with some strikes.

Jones with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones prevents Anderson from getting the reversal.

Jones is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Anderson is forced to tap! Great finish!
