Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Binzo Binzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Binzo comes to the cage accompanied by Hair of the Dog by Nazareth. Alves has chosen Thin Lizzy - Angel of Death as his entrance music. Leandro Alves is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leandro Alves!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Binzo lands a jab to the head.
Binzo swings for the body but Alves moves out of range.

Alves manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Binzo on his heels. He'll look to pass Binzo's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Alves wants to control from the top but Binzo keeps moving.
Binzo trying to keep a closed guard but Alves is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Binzo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alves has gone for a leg lock! Binzo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alves's guard.

Binzo is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Alves reverses the position - he's now on top in Binzo's guard.

Alves has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at AD Sparring Emporium. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Binzo has his foot on Alves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alves works his way back into a safe position though.
Alves passes Binzo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Alves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Binzo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Binzo tries to roll over but Alves keeps him under control.
Alves is looking to take a break and control but Binzo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alves connects with a nice short shot to Binzo's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alves is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Binzo defends it well.

Alves misses with an attempted mid kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alves. Binzo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alves cracks Binzo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Alves connects with a leg kick. Binzo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Alves buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Binzo works on Alves's body with a couple of short punches.
Alves has Binzo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Binzo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Alves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Binzo shoots for a takedown but Alves saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Leandro Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Binzo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Binzo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alves's best efforts.

Alves goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Binzo is on top in guard.

Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Binzo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Binzo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Binzo cracks Alves with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
