The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pidasol fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lonni manages to avoid it.
Pidasol misses with a takedown
and Lonni makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lonni stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lonni wants it to stay on the feet.

Lonni sizes up Pidasol with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Pidasol is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lonni is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pidasol thows a body shot but no joy.

and Lonni counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pidasol thinking.

Pidasol misses with a takedown attempt - Lonni sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stu Pidasol. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lonni changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lonni is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pidasol had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Lonni shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pidasol eats them both and turns towards Lonni to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lonni throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pidasol stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lonni is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Pidasol rather than just go for the knockout.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pidasol. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lonni lunges at Pidasol with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pidasol's hand.
Pidasol checks the leg kick nicely there.

and Lonni counters with a nice right hand that sends Pidasol toppling to the canvas! Pidasol scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lonni finish him?!

Lonni cracks Pidasol with a good jab.
Lonni scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Arturo Lonni seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Arturo Lonni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lonni lands with a straight right. Pidasol didn't see that one coming.
Oh Pidasol is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lonni ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pidasol seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lonni throws an overhand right that drops Pidasol like a sack of potatoes! Lonni dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
