Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felix Akamai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Lok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lok is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Butthole Surfers - Pepper. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felix Akamai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Lok!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Akamai throws a lazy right hand but Lok sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A jab from Lok finds it's way through Akamai's defenses.

Damien Lok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lok has Akamai up against the ropes in a clinch.

Akamai is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lok is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Akamai to the mat. Akamai regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lok working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Akamai has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lok can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lok keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Akamai's head.

Akamai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lok manages to avoid it.

Damien Lok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lok connects with a nice short shot to Akamai's temple.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Damien Lok was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Lok shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Akamai napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lok is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Akamai is trying to escape and Lok transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Akamai is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lok! Very nice indeed!

A very excited looking Damien Lok rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
