Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Asenio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Shafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shafer's choice of entrance music: Big Shit Poppin. Alex Shafer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asenio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Shafer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Shafer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Asenio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
