The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Hart, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Severn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A combination from Severn does no damage.

Severn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hart keeping hold of Severn's head, controlling as best he can.
Hart is pressing down on Severn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hart bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Severn's guard.
Hart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Severn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Severn tries to get out of the position.

Severn wants to stand and escape but Hart is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stevie Hart was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Severn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hart moves away.
Hart fails with a takedown attempt.

Severn throws a big shot that misses.
Hart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Severn lands with a right hand.

Severn scores with a jab.
Severn tries for a takedown but Hart circles away easily
and Hart counters with a straight right hand.
Hart avoids a punch combination nicely.
Severn throws a solid leg kick but Hart takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Severn.
Severn throws a front kick aimed at Hart's knee but Hart avoids it well.
Hart fails with the takedown

and Severn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hart's guard.
Dan Severn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Hart.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hart is adopting a defensive guard.
Severn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Severn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hart to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Severn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hart pulls down on the head and he's put Severn to sleep! This one is all over!

Stevie Hart tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
