Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikolay Dubrovsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Power!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubrovsky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Power holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Power turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dubrovsky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Power wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dubrovsky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Power tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dubrovsky is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Power's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Dubrovsky wants to control but Power is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Power is looking to take a break and control but Dubrovsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Power is trying to work for a kimura but Dubrovsky is defending well.
We've been hearing good reports from Dubrovsky's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Dubrovsky wants to get back to his feet.
Power is stalling here. Dubrovsky is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Power seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dubrovsky has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Power is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dubrovsky is controlling him well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Power can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Power has given up his back. Will we see Dubrovsky going for some submissions?
Dubrovsky looking to hold on to the position here but Power rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Dubrovsky is standing up over Power. Power looks to escape but Dubrovsky dives into side control.
Power is trying to buck Dubrovsky off.

Power is looking to get back to his feet here but Dubrovsky is keeping cool and he's managed to take Power's back.

Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dubrovsky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Power is trying to defend against the choke here but Dubrovsky has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Dubrovsky Tightens the hold and Power taps out furiously! Dubrovsky displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

A relieved looking Nikolay Dubrovsky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
