The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro misses with a head kick.
Mcbride thows a body shot but no joy.
Ribeiro tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mcbride defends well and Ribeiro ends up having to push Mcbride into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mcbride jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ribeiro walks away with a smile on his face. Mcbride gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mcbride could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mcbride misses with a takedown attempt - Ribeiro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ribeiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcbride was covering up waiting for the punch and Ribeiro finishes the takedown easily into guard.
