The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angel moves in looking to clinch but Pewterschmidt pushes him off.
Pewterschmidt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Angel.
Pewterschmidt avoids the head kick by Angel.
Angel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pewterschmidt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pewterschmidt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pewterschmidt cracks Angel with a good jab.
Angel scores with a head kick.
It looks like Carter Pewterschmidt has been cut.
A left and a right from Pewterschmidt both land. Nice combination.
Pewterschmidt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pewterschmidt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Angel has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pewterschmidt is working to tighten is grip on Angel's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Angel has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pewterschmidt is really squeezing tight and eventually Angel passes out! Pewterschmidt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
