Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent Duncan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duncan gets a clinch.

Duncan manages to break the clinch.
Farmer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duncan defends well and Farmer ends up having to push Duncan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Duncan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Farmer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duncan can pounce on him.
Duncan checks the leg kick nicely there.
Duncan thows a body kick. Farmer tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Duncan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Duncan shoots in for a double leg but Farmer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Duncan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farmer avoids it really well and circles away.
Duncan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farmer escapes and gets back to his feet.

Duncan is breathing heavily.
Farmer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duncan's waist but Duncan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Farmer off to one side.
Duncan shoots in but no luck this time.
Farmer shoots for a takedown but Duncan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Farmer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Farmer leaves Duncan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Duncan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Farmer defends well and Duncan ends up having to push Farmer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Farmer wants to take the fight to the mat but Duncan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Duncan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Farmer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Duncan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Farmer moves into range and clinches up with Duncan.
Farmer is looking to control Duncan's arms but Duncan gets an underhook and turns him. Now Farmer has his back to the cage.

Duncan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duncan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Farmer pinned against the cage. Farmer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Farmer shoots in for a takedown but Duncan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Farmer scores with a one two! Duncan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Trent Duncan has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Duncan or perhaps it was just good defense by Farmer which made him look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trent Duncan will probably get the nod.

Farmer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Farmer wants to pass to mount but Duncan is defending the position.

Well, if Farmer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Farmer thows a huge punch but Duncan dodges it nicely.
Farmer is taking a breather. Duncan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Duncan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Farmer is working away from the top position though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dale Farmer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Duncan jumps guard but Farmer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Farmer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duncan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Farmer somewhat.

Duncan is pressed up against the cage. Farmer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duncan down to the mat. Duncan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Duncan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Farmer escapes and throws Duncan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Farmer works to advance to full mount. Duncan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Dale Farmer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
