Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chase Blevins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chase Blevins has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Blevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Severn!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn throws a left and a right that both miss
and Severn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Severn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blevins sprawls well initially but Severn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blevins is staying active underneath Severn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Blevins is doing well to control the position and prevent Severn from advancing to side control.

Severn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blevins's head.

Severn distracts Blevins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Severn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Severn wants to pass the guard but Blevins is keeping the position.
Blevins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Severn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blevins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Severn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blevins.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chase Blevins will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
