The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez keeps the fight on the outside.

Chavez closes the distance and pushes Walsh back into the cage.
Walsh is trying to drag Chavez to the mat but Chavez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Walsh tries to throw a body punch but Chavez avoids it by throwing Walsh back against the cage.
Chavez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walsh's elbow.
Chavez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Chavez is pressed up against the cage. Walsh has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chavez down to the mat. Chavez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Chavez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chavez showed some decent athleticism there.
Walsh pushes Chavez off but Chavez dives into side control.

Chavez decides to stand back up. Chavez steps back and let's Walsh get back to his feet.
Walsh swats away the attempt to clinch by Chavez.

Chavez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Chavez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walsh on his heels. He'll look to pass Walsh's guard now, I'm sure.
Walsh wants to get back to his feet but Chavez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Walsh has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Chavez doesn't defend quickly enough and Walsh has managed to lock this one up! Can Chavez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Walsh on a fantastic submission victory.
