The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Booker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boot shoots for a takedown but Booker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Booker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Boot shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Boot was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boot prevents Booker from escaping the position.
Boot misses with the ground and pound.

Boot looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Booker is trying to buck Boot off.
A lull in the action here as Boot stalls from top position.
Booker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Booker is trying to control Boot's posture but Boot avoids it.
Boot controls the position from side control.
Boot lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Booker down.

Boot has an Americana. Booker didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Boot is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Boot hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
