Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez connects with a solid leg kick.
Hogsback checks the leg kick.

Lopez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lopez working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hogsback's thigh. Hogsback counters though and makes it back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lopez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lopez throws an elbow that misses. Hogsback uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lopez's guard. Nice move by Hogsback!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogsback is fighting to break Lopez's control of his arms but Lopez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Let's hope that Lopez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hogsback drops back looking for a leg! Lopez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopez manages to kick Hogsback off! Hogsback jumps back into Lopez's guard.

Lopez looking for a sweep. Not yet Lopez, not yet.
Hogsback forces his way into half guard.
Hogsback works his way into side control.
Lopez wants to control but Hogsback postures up.
Hogsback wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lopez keeps working.
Lopez is looking for a sweep.

Hogsback working away.
Hogsback wants to control but Lopez is keeping him busy.
Hogsback in the domination position with Lopez hanging on.
Lopez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hogsback. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lopez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hogsback will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hogsback wants to stand but Lopez is controlling his arm.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lopez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hogsback shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lopez defends it nicely.
Hogsback on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Lopez.
Hogsback is breathing heavily.
Hogsback uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lopez.
Hogsback has his takedown stuffed
and Lopez counters with an outside leg kick.
Hogsback stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lopez.
A solid body kick from Lopez.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lopez. Hogsback shrugs it off though.
Lopez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Lopez lands a big head kick that sends Hogsback tumbling to the mat! Lopez takes a step backwards and waves Hogsback back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lopez is looking to slow Hogsback down with leg kicks.

Pepe Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
