The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thump lands a big head kick that sends Takeru tumbling to the mat! Thump takes a step backwards and waves Takeru back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Mochi Takeru has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takeru has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Thump.
Takeru blocks a head kick by Thump.
Takeru fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thump on the side of the head.
Thump avoids the body shot from Takeru.
Takeru misses with a straight left.
Takeru throws a lazy uppercut
and Thump makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thump bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've been told by Thump's head coaches at Rift Fighting Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Takeru misses with a left hand
and Thump counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Thump lands a nice looking body kick.
Takeru looks winded!
Thump throws a front kick that sends Takeru stumbling back into the cage.
Thump thuds his shin into the meat of Takeru's side.
Takeru takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Thump lands a big uppercut and Takeru crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Takeru looks OK. Thump waves Takeru back to his feet!

Thump turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Thump feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Takeru collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Big Thump decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
