PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Slamen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scheisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Slamen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jaws Theme. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Slamen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Scheisse!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Scheisse with that takedown attempt.
Scheisse stuffs the takedown.
Slamen darts in looking for a takedown but Scheisse gets double underhooks and turns Slamen into the cage.

Slamen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Scheisse is trying to keep an underhook but Slamen manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Scheisse is not content to let Slamen control the position.
Scheisse is trying to stand up here but Slamen is controlling him well.
Scheisse blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slamen.
Slamen throwing shots but Scheisse is blocking nicely.
Slamen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Slamen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Slamen slips a nice elbow through Scheisse's hands, connecting with Scheisse's forehead.
Slamen scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scheisse is looking to escape.

Slamen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Scheisse to regain full guard.
Slamen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Slamen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Slamen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scheisse is keeping the position for now.
Scheisse keeping moving, preventing Slamen from controlling successfully.
Scheisse is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Slamen works over Scheisse with some ground and pound from guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slamen controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slamen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Scheisse wants to stand up but Slamen is controlling him.
Slamen throwing strikes but missing.
Slamen landing with the ground and pound.
Slamen trying to control but Scheisse is working from the bottom.
Slamen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scheisse wants to stand but Slamen is controlling the position.
Scheisse keeping moving, preventing Slamen from controlling successfully.
Slamen looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Troy Slamen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Scheisse slips a jab from Slamen.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slamen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Scheisse sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Slamen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scheisse avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Slamen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Scheisse counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Slamen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Slamen leaves Scheisse with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Scheisse shoots in but Slamen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Troy Slamen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scheisse stuffs the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slamen shoots in for a takedown but Scheisse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Slamen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Scheisse instigates a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Scheisse lands a big knee to the head and Slamen goes down! Scheisse is looking to finish!


Slamen is rocked!


It looks like Troy Slamen has been cut.

Scheisse stands up and beckons Slamen to his feet.
Oh Slamen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Scheisse tries to clinch up but Slamen circles away and keeps his distance.
Slamen dives in and grabs Scheisse's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scheisse pushes down on Slamen's head and hops out.
Crack! A monster head kick from Scheisse and Slamen falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Scheisse!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Michael Scheisse!
Our winner, Michael Scheisse, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
