And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Simpson!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Simpson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Simpson lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Simpson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leonardson's head.
Leonardson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Simpson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Leonardson has his feet on Simpson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Leonardson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simpson manages to avoid it.
Simpson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leonardson stuns Simpson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Leonardson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Simpson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Leonardson counters with a nice right hand that sends Simpson toppling to the canvas! Simpson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Leonardson finish him?!

It looks like Simon Simpson has been cut.
Greer Leonardson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Simpson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good leg kick by Leonardson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Leonardson plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Simpson to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Simpson just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
