Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mahmud Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atom shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Atom was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Atom trying to control the action but Magomedov is working from the bottom.
Magomedov wants to get back to his feet.
Magomedov is looking for a sweep.

Atom decides to stand back up. Atom steps back and let's Magomedov get back to his feet.
Magomedov is looking to clinch.
Atom is trying hard to land a takedown here. Magomedov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Magomedov moves into the clinch successfully.
Atom wants to take the fight to the mat but Magomedov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Magomedov gets control of Atom's arms and successfully pulls guard. Magomedov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Magomedov is looking for a triangle but Atom pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Atom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Magomedov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Atom has managed to get both his arms back between Magomedov's legs - danger averted.

Magomedov lands a couple of digs.

Atom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Magomedov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Atom's head.

Atom manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Atom jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Magomedov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Magomedov and Atom has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mahmud Magomedov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Magomedov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Atom slaps away a takedown attempt from Magomedov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Magomedov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Magomedov moves in looking to clinch but Atom pushes him off.
Magomedov blocks a head kick by Atom.
Magomedov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Magomedov throws a one two combo.
Atom swats away the attempt to clinch by Magomedov.
Magomedov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Atom circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mahmud Magomedov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Magomedov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Atom has a takedown stuffed.
Magomedov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Atom as he jumps to the side.

Magomedov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Atom did well to prevent Magomedov getting side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magomedov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Atom is proving hard to escape from.

Magomedov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mahmud Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Atom tries a head kick but it misses.

Magomedov rushes Atom and presses him up against the cage.
Atom drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Magomedov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Magomedov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Magomedov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Atom ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Magomedov moves away.
Magomedov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Atom connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Magomedov scrambles back to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Magomedov has knocked Atom down with a huge combo! Magomedov steps away and waves a wobbly Atom back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Atom is rocked!

It looks like Great Atom has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Magomedov closes the distance looking for a takedown. Atom stuffs it but Magomedov still has hold of him. Magomedov picks Atom up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Magomedov slams Atom to the floor and that's really hurt Atom - he doesn't know where he is! Magomedov throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
