Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Butrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Soon Do!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do misses with a lunging right hand
and Butrovic counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Do misses with a few strikes there.
Butrovic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Butrovic takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Do misses with a shot to the body
and Butrovic counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Soon Do seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butrovic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Do.

Butrovic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Do tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Butrovic is in Do's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Butrovic is looking to work some ground and pound but Do has wrist control.

Do had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Butrovic defends it easily.
Do manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Butrovic manages to get himself to full guard.

Butrovic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Do gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Butrovic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Do can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Do pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Butrovic is keeping the position for now.

Do trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Butrovic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Do is aware though and is defending well.

You can see the frustration on Butrovic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Do tries for a kimura but Butrovic is defending well.
Do in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Butrovic takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oh Butrovic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Do works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Butrovic parries the strikes from Do easily there. Do is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Butrovic to escape.
Do cracks Butrovic with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Do immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Butrovic is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Do!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soon Do!
After the fight, Soon Do was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
