Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakatsu Funaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SBB - Memento z banalnym tryptykiem. Funaki has chosen "Julie's Theme" - Alan Silvestri as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masakatsu Funaki!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Holmes or perhaps it was just good defense by Funaki which made him look bad.
Funaki lands a nice hook to Holmes's body. Holmes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Funaki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Holmes shoots in looking for a takedown. Funaki tries to sprawl out of it but Holmes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Funaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Holmes is breathing heavily.

Holmes blocks a jab.
Funaki listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Funaki misses with a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Funaki.
Funaki lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Holmes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Holmes is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Holmes. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Funaki's corner calls for a 1-2. Funaki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Oh Holmes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jon Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Funaki dodges the punch combination from Holmes.
Holmes leaves his chin hanging out and Funaki seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Holmes crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

A very excited looking Masakatsu Funaki made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Jon Holmes spoke after the fight, saying 'You know, shit happens...'.
