Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Makrella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha fails in his attempt to clinch.
Makrella throws a body kick that misses.
Alpha leaves Makrella with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Makrella moves away from the strike by Alpha.
Makrella is looking to clinch but Alpha is avoiding it.

Makrella throws a push kick but Alpha slaps the foot to one side.
Makrella shoots in for a takedown but Alpha shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alpha throws a nice looking combination but Makrella bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Makrella counters by moving into the clinch.
Makrella tries to pull guard but Alpha forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Alpha tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Makrella's elbow.

Alpha swings wildly with an uppercut but Makrella uses good head movement to avoid it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alpha creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Michael Makrella has been cut.
Alpha pushes Makrella back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Makrella has hold of one of Alpha's legs. Alpha is fighting the takedown attempt but Makrella gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Makrella is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Makrella gets to his feet - Alpha follows without any prompting.

and Makrella counters by moving into the clinch.
Makrella jumps guard but Alpha turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Alpha is pressed up against the cage. Makrella has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alpha down to the mat. Alpha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Makrella misses with a body kick.
Alpha loads up on a big right hand but Makrella slips the punch.
Alpha scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Alpha feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Makrella sprawling to the canvas! Makrella rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Alpha finish him?!

Makrella is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alpha throws a jab when Makrella was well out of range.
Oh Makrella is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alpha works Makrella's body with a nice hook.
Makrella takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Makrella ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Makrella seems to have got his legs back now.
No joy there for Alpha, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Makrella moves in looking to clinch but Alpha pushes him off.
Makrella shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alpha lands with a nice body punch.
Makrella avoids the body shot from Alpha.

Alpha lands a big uppercut and Makrella crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Makrella looks OK. Alpha waves Makrella back to his feet!
Makrella steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alpha.
Makrella misses with a head kick.
Alpha drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Makrella right on the button. Makrella goes down! Alpha follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Alpha gets the win via TKO!
