Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mellis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Haze displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mellis.
Haze misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Haze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mellis's waist but Mellis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Haze off to one side.
Haze goes for a double leg but Mellis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Mellis continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Purple Haze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mellis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Haze manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
