The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesmar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lesmar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wilkinson is keeping the position for now.
Lesmar wants to control from the top but Wilkinson keeps moving.
Lesmar working some strikes from top position.
Lesmar looking to sit in guard and control but Wilkinson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lesmar wants to stand up but Wilkinson is controlling him.
Lesmar looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wilkinson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lesmar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesmar, not yet.
Lesmar working a defensive guard but Wilkinson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Lesmar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Wilkinson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lesmar has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesmar wants to get back to full guard but Wilkinson has passed into side control.

Lesmar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lesmar tries to improve his position but instead Wilkinson has taken his back!

Wilkinson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lesmar has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wilkinson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lesmar taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wilkinson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
