The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins clobbers Weidman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Chris Weidman has been cut.
Weidman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hopkins throws a left that rocks Weidman and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hopkins dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Weidman regain composure!
Weidman is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hopkins is putting a hurting on Weidman here, landing some big shots from side control.
Oh Weidman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hopkins cracks Weidman with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hopkins immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Weidman is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hopkins!

David Hopkins decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
