Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brenton Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hendricks's choice of entrance music: Alab ng Puso-Abra. Johny Hendricks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks tries to clinch but Sharp moves out of range.
Hendricks looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A nice leg kick lands there from Sharp.

Sharp clinches.

Sharp jumps guard.
Sharp is pulling down on Hendricks's head to control his posture.
Hendricks stays in close to Sharp's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brenton Sharp wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Sharp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sharp showed some decent athleticism there.

Hendricks postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sharp is looking to regain half guard here but Hendricks keeps moving and retains side control.

Brenton Sharp has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Hendricks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hendricks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sharp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hendricks wants to control from the top but Sharp keeps moving.
Hendricks is looking to pass into half guard but Sharp pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sharp is in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brenton Sharp.

Sharp changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hendricks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sharp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sharp wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hendricks, who protects the arm well.
Sharp is looking to take a break and control but Hendricks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hendricks trying to control the hands but Sharp breaks the grip.
I really don't envy Hendricks right now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sharp throws a body kick that misses.
Hendricks tries to clinch up but Sharp circles away and keeps his distance.

Sharp clinches up with Hendricks and pushes him back against the cage.

Hendricks stops a takedown attempt from Sharp.

Hendricks is pressed up against the cage. Sharp has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hendricks down to the mat. Hendricks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sharp throws a combination. Hendricks tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hendricks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Johny Hendricks will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hendricks sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Sharp gets caught napping as Hendricks dives in and scores a takedown. Sharp manages to retain guard.
Sharp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hendricks is one step ahead there.
Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sharp works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hendricks looking to sit in guard and control but Sharp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hendricks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sharp has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hendricks is proving hard to escape from.

Hendricks has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sharp. Oh but Hendricks has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sharp goes limp - he's gone! Hendricks jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
