The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter tries to clinch up but Erique circles away and keeps his distance.
Erique keeps the fight on the outside.
A head kick misses from Porter.
Porter throws a sloppy head kick and Erique moves out of range easily.
Erique avoids the head kick by Porter.
Porter wants to clinch.
Porter finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Erique counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Erique.
Erique has Porter pressed against the cage.

Porter wants to get back to striking at distance but Erique won't allow it.
Porter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Erique is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Porter to the mat. Porter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Erique has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
