Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Bliss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donnell Hurley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Bliss!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bliss closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Hurley to work.
Hurley gets underhooks to prevent Bliss's takedown attempt.
Bliss has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Bliss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bliss tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Hurley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hurley.

Hurley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bliss, up you get!
Hurley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bliss.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bliss has Hurley up against the cage in a clinch.

Bliss tries to score a body lock takedown but Hurley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bliss wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hurley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hurley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hurley is on top in guard.

Hurley stands and steps away. Bliss gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bliss shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hurley but Hurley pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bliss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hurley, pushing him back against the cage.
Hurley content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Bliss is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hurley is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hurley wants to sweep but no luck.

Hurley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bliss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hurley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bliss seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Adam Bliss was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bliss shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hurley sprawls well. Hurley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bliss gets slowly back to his feet.

Bliss changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hurley fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bliss has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hurley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hurley pulls Bliss in close to prevent any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hurley pulls Bliss in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Donnell Hurley will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Bliss scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hurley regains half guard.
Bliss wants to pass the guard but Hurley is defending well.
Bliss keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hurley is trying to stand up here but Bliss is controlling him well.
Hurley is holding on to half guard well.
Hurley pushes Bliss off looking to stand but Bliss dives back in and keeps control.
Hurley wants to control but Bliss is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bliss looks for a takedown but Hurley sprawls well.

Bliss wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hurley has him pressed against the cage.

Hurley breaks from the clinch.
Bliss tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hurley moves into range and clinches up with Bliss.
Hurley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bliss up against the cage.

Hurley jumps into guard, dragging Bliss to the mat.
Bliss wants to control from the top but Hurley keeps moving.
Hurley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bliss!

Hurley moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bliss has worked his arm free - good work by Bliss!
Bliss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hurley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hurley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bliss is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bliss is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bliss sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bliss tries to roll over but Hurley keeps him under control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bliss looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bliss tries to roll over but Hurley keeps him under control.
Hurley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hurley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bliss sees it coming and defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Adam Bliss.
I think Hurley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
