The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Della Fortuna counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valenzuela won't be happy with that.
The ground and pound from Della Fortuna seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Valenzuela jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Della Fortuna is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Della Fortuna and Valenzuela has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Nick Della Fortuna is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Della Fortuna parries the strikes from Valenzuela easily there. Valenzuela is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Della Fortuna to escape.
Della Fortuna stops Valenzuela from passing to mount.

Valenzuela decides to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bart Valenzuela.
I think Della Fortuna has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
