Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patton is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Marilyn Manson - Born Villain . Michael Patton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Wise misses
and Patton counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wise fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Patton throws a leg kick which misses Wise's front leg but catches the back leg as Wise tries to avoid it.
Wise takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wise looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wise lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wise thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wise scores with a shot to the body.
Wise throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wise swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Patton.

Wise will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Patton throws a lazy right hand but Wise sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Patton lands a nice hook to Wise's body. Wise takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wise lands a really nice looking cross but Patton seems unphased.

Wise takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Patton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wise dives in and grabs Patton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Patton pushes down on Wise's head and hops out.

Wise on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Patton. Patton obviously looking to wear him down.
Patton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wise.
Wise attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Patton finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wise tries to move into range but Patton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Patton stuns Wise with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wise uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Patton.
Patton lands a glancing blow to the side of Wise's head.
Wise throws a solid leg kick but Patton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wise.
Patton throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wise tried to score with a low kick but Patton checks it.
Patton cracks Wise with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wise tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Patton pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wise is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
