Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yancey Dunlap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I WILL NOT BOW. Dave Davis looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yancey Dunlap!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots for a takedown but Dunlap saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for Davis with that takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Dunlap. No joy for Davis on that attempt.
Dunlap is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dunlap throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dunlap swivels and escapes.

Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Dunlap which made him look bad.

Dunlap throws a left that rocks Davis and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Dunlap dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Davis regain composure!

Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dunlap has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Davis seems to have got his legs back now.
No joy there for Dunlap, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dunlap pinned against the cage. Dunlap gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Dunlap has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dunlap circles away.
Dunlap swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dunlap as he jumps to the side.
Dunlap will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dunlap tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dunlap to the ground. Dunlap escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dave Davis will probably get the nod.

Dunlap's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Davis cracks Dunlap with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Davis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dunlap is now in Davis's guard. A big mistake from Davis there, giving up the dominant position!

Yancey Dunlap comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dunlap has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
