The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drew keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Drew or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
Drew on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Reeves Drew has been cut.
Drew fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Drew drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Drew trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Drew controls the pace.
Drew slips nicely into half guard.
Drew prevents Johnson from standing back up.

Drew is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Drew will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Drew seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
